Ann Biddlecom, Senior Reseach AssociateAnn Biddlecom joined AGI in August 2002 as a Senior Research Associate. She is currently directing a multi-country study of HIV/AIDS and pregnancy prevention among adolescents in Sub-Saharan Africa and has authored or co-authored peer-reviewed journal articles on contraceptive use, men’s reproductive roles, adolescent sexual behaviors, and HIV/AIDS and migration. She previously worked at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research, conducting analysis in the areas of reproduction and family support, and at the Population Council, where she performed quantitative and qualitative research on contraceptive use with colleagues in Sub-Saharan Africa. She was also on the team fielding the 2002 National Survey of Family Growth. Dr. Biddlecom received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her Ph.D. in sociology and population studies from Brown University in 1995. She also had a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Michigan’s Population Studies Center.
