Susan Cohen, Director of Government AffairsSusan Cohen joined AGI in 1978 as a Public Policy Associate. She then became a Senior Associate for Public Policy, Assistant Director for Public Policy and, in 2002, was named Director of Government Affairs. She is responsible for facilitating and coordinating issue analysis and strategy development within the Washington, DC office. In addition, she has specific responsibility for promoting the Institute’s international reproductive health agenda vis-à-vis U.S. law and policy. Ms. Cohen has served on the boards of the National Family Planning and Reproductive Health Association and AVSC International, as Chair of the Population and Family Planning Section of the American Public Health Association and on the National Governing Council of the American Jewish Congress. Ms. Cohen earned an M.P.H. at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill) School of Public Health in 1978, specializing in maternal and child health, and her B.A. from Vassar College in 1975.
